Rising energy prices: 88% of French people limit their energy consumption

The recent changes in the price of different energies have really affected the spending and behavior of our citizens.

Nearly 93% of French people consider that their budget has been affected by these increases:

  • 36.5% strongly impacted
  • 43% moderately impacted
  • 13% slightly impacted
  • 7.5% not at all affected

It should be noted that this impact concerns all age groups, all social categories and all regions (each impacted by more than 87%); the differences observed are minor.

A very large majority of French people have changed their energy consumption: 88%. This evolution is also very present in all layers of the population; more than 83% for each of them.

The survey also reveals the ways in which the French limit their energy consumption:

  • 61% reduce their heating
  • 53% limit their lighting
  • 41.5% use their car less
  • 30% are reconsidering spending on leisure and vacations
  • 27% decrease the number of showers and baths
  • 27% still reduce the use of electronic devices
  • For 20%, the use of household appliances is restricted

On average the 88% of French people who reduce their energy bill cite more than 3 means implemented.

Awareness is therefore widespread among most households!
